Ambrosia has stood out ever since she has been born as being a well balanced kid. She has shown extremely well this year, and was even the 1st place Senior Kid at the 2011 ADGA National Show! She teamed up with her herdmates to earn 1st place Best Three Junior Does and 1st place Junior Get of Sire! She shows us the balance throughout that we are trying to breed for, and we believe she is representative of our breeding program.

Ambrosia's bloodlines are a combination of the strongest animals in our herd. Her dam line was one of the strongest Tonka-Tail lines, including does such as SGCH Tonka-Tails Jester's Mischief (07-03 91 VEEE) and SGCH Tonka-Tails Violet of Toulouse (04-04 90 VEEE). We love the strength of the bone and extreme dairy character we have seen in these animals, as well as their strength of feet and legs. Ambrosia's sire side includes the strongest and oldest line of New Dreams animals that stem from the 1991 and 1992 Reserve National Champion, SGCH Body-Shops F Katie's Taco. We have seen good length of body, dairy character, and strength of feet and legs in this line in addition to correctly shaped mammaries with strong medials. Ambrosia's Sire, Jolly Rancher, has continued to pass these traits onto his offspring. Not only was Jolly Rancher's Junior Get of Sire 1st place at Nationals this year, but has been 1st place at the 2009, 2010, and 2011 District 5 Specialties, and 2nd place at the 2009 Nationals. Jolly Rancher's milking daughters have all had very correct mammaries with wide rear udder arches and strong medials. The consistency of Ambrosia's genetics is evident in her, and we will be repeating this breeding next year for our own doe to retain.
